This place is phenomenal. Dreamland (at least the Mobile one) is not even in the same league with this place. It's a different style than the Rendezvous in Memphis, but the ribs are more tender. The pulled pork is literally unsurpassed by any pork establishment in the south I have been to, and I've stuffed my face everywhere from west Texas to central Virginia (sorry Pig and Steak). This is the real deal, don't miss it. Barbecue pilgrim Mobile, Alabama - Thursday, July 03, 2006 at 15:46:20 (EDT) Hey All Dave Norfolk, VA USA -

Thursday, May 01, 2006 at 20:08:30 (EDT) It was wonderful being in Mobile again, and stopping in at the Pit for the pulled pork. Heavenly, as always. I only had 3 days to spend in Mobile, and 3 things on my list to do between visiting family and grandkids....Eat at the Brick Pit, get crab claws at Jeanne Carlsons Mariner on Dog River, and pick up a couple of Maurice's Danish Pecan Rings at Bruno's. This stuff is just too good, and worth the 1,450 mile (30 hour) drive from Parker, Colorado!! Elaine Rutledge Parker, Colorado USA -

Tuesday, April 22, 2006 at 14:55:48 (EDT) I no longer live in Mobile and the one thing I miss the most is "Brick Bites" from my favorite BBQ restaurant in the world, “THE BRICK PIT”. Can someone please give me some pointers on how to prepare a sauce even close to what the brick pit is doing? I live in the only town (New Orleans) in the south where BBQ has been forgotten or maybe never existed and it is killing me. Matt New Orleans, LA -
